Have you ever hit a nasty pothole with your car by accident? You did not see it coming or did not have time to swerve around it, and you ended up hitting it dead on. The whole car catch’s air and, as result, there is a loud boom sound upon impact.

This recently happened to my wife, Katia, while she was driving on the freeway. Thankfully she did not get a flat tire and was able to limp her car home. However, her car is extremely pulling to the left side and is not safe to drive. It needs to be fixed immediately before more damage happens to the car or an accident takes place and someone gets injured.IMG_8933

This may also happen in our spiritual lives, where we hit a major “bump” in the road, figuratively speaking. We can get totally blind-sided by someone or some situation that we never saw coming. It is as if we were going through an extreme rough patch and have been totally shaken off our center. And, as result, we are being pulled to one side and we are no longer walking a straight path. Just like the car, we need to get realigned and re-centered before any more damage takes place. We need to put our focus right back on our Lord Jesus Christ and be re-aligned according to His will.

Jeremiah 29:11-13

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

Lord Jesus, we realign our lives with your plan. We choose to focus on truly seeking your face. We take a moment to remember all the times that You helped us overcome difficult circumstances, that You never leave us or forsake us. Help us to walk uprightly and make good choices.
