Welcome to the MYC Raft Camp 2017 Homepage! Summer is fast approaching which means Raft Camp is almost here!  Our annual Raft Camp will take place June 19-23.  The camp is open to all Middle School and High School students including incoming 6th graders and graduating seniors.  Adventure Whitewater (www.awwrafting.com/) is the host for our annual raft camp.  Last year we were unable to do this camp, so we are so excited to be returning to the Klamath River.  We have been to this camp for over 15 years and that alone speaks for itself.  We are expecting 55-60 people to attend raft camp. The early bird rate is $300 when deposit and registration fee of $100 is turned in before May 28. The price goes up to $325 afterwards.

 A $100 deposit and registration forms are due by May 28 to reserve your spot. Due to the limited space it will be a first come, first serve basis.

Because of the rising costs I wanted to include a breakdown for you to see where the costs are going to:

“Raft Camp By The Numbers”:

  • 12-passenger van transportation to and from camp (responsible adult drivers) + gas + shuttling to and from rafting
    • $100.00
  • A speciality pizza dinner on the last day and breakfast-to-go (on the last morning)
    • $7.00
  • 3 days of white-water rafting on the Klamath River led by professional, experienced guides, 3 nights of camping on the river including incredible home-cooked meals (river burritos, grilled chicken, etc.)
    • $193.00
  • Also included is an incredible hike through canyons and swimming under waterfalls, campfires, s’mores, a pastry breakfast, and being in one of the most incredible places in Northern California.
  • All this breaks down to just $60/person/day!

In return, we will send back one insanely happy and entirely exhausted student that will sleep all weekend! Other summertime student programs around the Bay Area can cost upwards of $90 or more per day.

AWW’s Paradise Point boasts one of the largest and most beautiful beaches on the Klamath River and is nestled in the mountains of Northern California just past Happy Camp, CA near the Oregon Border.  This wonderful outdoor adventure takes students through the beautiful scenery of the Klamath River Valley. A waterfall hike, great food, campfire gatherings, and tons of fun make this camp one of the best around. In this environment, students deepen their faith, develop positive values, and grow as young men and women who will impact their culture.

Register for Raft Camp in 4 Easy Steps

Step 1: Print Registration Forms

Click on the links below and print out the Raft Camp Flyer, Release of Liability Forms, and New Life Medical Authorization Form.


Step 2: Sign Registration Forms

      • Complete and Sign all forms for your child. (if sending for multiple children, please complete separate forms for each child)

Step 3: Make Payment

You can make your payments online (see below), by check, or by cash.

      • By check, make Payable to NLC and in memo write in Raft Camp and student’s name.

Step 4: Submitting your Forms and Payments

There are a number of ways to get your signed forms, check, and cash payments to us.

      1. By Check: Mail your payment and signed forms to: Attention: Dustin Box / New Life Church, 1370 S. Novato Blvd, Novato, CA 94947. You can also drop your payment/forms off at the church office as indicated below.
      2. By Cash: Place your signed forms and cash in a sealed envelope and bring to the church office (located on 3rd floor) at New Life. Please write on the envelope, Attention: Pastor Dustin for Raft Camp and your child’s name.
      3. Send payment/signed registration forms with your child. If your child attends our youth group on Wednesday, you can send everything with them in a sealed envelope. Again, make sure you have “Attention Pastor Dustin” and “For Raft Camp” written on the outside of the envelope.

    • What time should students arrive at New Life on Monday June 19?
      -All Students: Arrive at 8:00 AM. Please do not arrive earlier than that time. Thank you.
    • We will depart from and return to New Life Church (1370 S. Novato Blvd, Novato, CA 94947)
    • DEPART: Monday June 19 @8am
    • RETURN: Friday, June 23 @5pm
