What defines the culture and heart of New Life Church? Our core values and beliefs are the foundation of everything we do, shaping how we worship, how we build community, and how we serve Novato and the wider Marin County region. We are a Spirit-filled fellowship deeply passionate about pursuing the Presence of God, walking in biblical truth, and experiencing the supernatural, transforming power of Jesus Christ in our daily lives.

We believe that a healthy church is built on authentic, loving relationships where no one has to walk alone. Explore our core values and foundational statements of faith below to discover what drives our ministry, our schools, and our mission to equip and send believers to impact this generation.

Values

We are committed to:

  • The Word of God as our rule of faith and practice. As believers, we believe the entire Bible and believe that it is the inerrant, inspired Word of God (II Timothy 3:16).
  • Being a habitation for the Presence of God (Amos 9:11, Ephesians 2:21-22).
  • Worshipping the Father in spirit and in truth (John. 4:23-24, Revelation 4:11).
  • Missions – reaching all nations with the good news of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Mark 16:15-20).
  • The supernatural ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. Miracles, healings, transformations, and supernatural interventions of God are normal in the kingdom of God (Psalm 103:1-6, Isaiah 53:4-5, Mark 16:20, John 14:10-12, I Corinthians 4:20, Hebrews 13:8).
  • Community – As a community, we value the commands of Jesus to LOVE GOD with all of our hearts and to love one another as Jesus loves us. Relationships are of the utmost importance in the Kingdom of God (Matthew 22:37-40, John 13:34-35, I Corinthians 13, Philippians 2:1-8).
  • Unity. We are committed to being a fellowship in which there are no divisions, that works shoulder to shoulder with the body of Christ for the glory of God (Psalm 133, John 17:21, Ephesians 4:3).
  • Christlikeness – A biblical definition of character is to live a life of obedience, transformed into the likeness of Christ by the Holy Spirit (John 14:21 & 23, Romans 8:29, II Corinthians 3:18, Galatians 5:22-24).
  • Equipping and sending believers to serve the Lord in this generation in the power of God’s Spirit. No one is too young or too old to participate in the move of God (Ephesians 4:11-13, I Timothy 4:12, Psalm 92:13-15, Joel 2:28-29).
  • Prayer. God moves in the earth in answer to prayer! (Isaiah 56:7, Ezekiel 36:37, II Corinthians 10:3-6, Ephesians 6:10-18).
