Proverbs 17:22 (Amplified Bible)

“A happy heart is good medicine and a cheerful mind works healing, but a broken spirit dries up the bones.”

Medical study after medical study keep touting the wonderful health benefits of a good hearty laugh.

Dr. Lee Berk of Loma Linda University in California said this in a press statement “that the body’s response to repetitive laughter is similar to the effect of repetitive exercise,”

It is so awesome when the medical science confirms what the Word of God has been proclaiming for thousands of years.

Galatians 5:22 (New International Version)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness”

Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. There is an exuberance about Life that is the result of having the Holy Spirit dwell in our hearts. So as Christians we should be the happiest people on the planet.

Romans 14:17 (The Message)

“God’s kingdom isn’t a matter of what you put in your stomach, for goodness’ sake. It’s what God does with your life as he sets it right, puts it together, and completes it with joy.”

Let us all laugh for our health and have peace knowing that the Lord is completing our Lives with His joy. Let us all sing this song today and make it our declaration and prayer.

I’ve got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart.
Where? Down in my heart! Where?

Down in my heart!

I’ve got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart,
down in my heart
down in my heart to stay.
