“You know the story of what happened in Judea. It began in Galilee after John preached a total life-change. Then Jesus arrived from Nazareth, anointed by God with the Holy Spirit, ready for action. He went through the country helping people and healing everyone who was beaten down by the Devil. He was able to do all this because God was with him.” Acts 10:37-38 (The Message)

When we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior we received a total life-change. We surrendered up our old life and have been given a brand new one. Now that we have this new life we can’t just go around living for ourselves like we used too. We need to do what Jesus did, which was to go throughout his day doing good, helping people and healing everyone who was beaten down by the devil. We are totally surrounded by people in need, they are not hard to find. Many times Jesus went out of His way to help them—let’s remember this the next time a kingdom opportunity presents itself. I have even heard of some Christians that hang out in front of the handicap parking spaces and pharmacies waiting for people to pray for.

How are we able to preach the good news and release God’s healing for the sick? God is with you. We have the same Holy Spirit living inside of us that raised Jesus from the dead. Its simple, you have been given so much now it is your turn to give back.

Matthew 10:5-8 (The Message)
Jesus sent his twelve harvest hands out with this charge: “Don’t begin by traveling to some far-off place to convert unbelievers. And don’t try to be dramatic by tackling some public enemy. Go to the lost, confused people right here in the neighborhood. Tell them that the kingdom is here. Bring health to the sick. Raise the dead. Touch the untouchables. Kick out the demons. You have been treated generously, so live generously.”

Lord help us to not only acknowledge our changed life, but help us go into this world to be real life-changers to all!
