The Bride Has Made Herself Ready By Rachel Klinge

Isn’t it funny how we can sit on the sofa and watch our favorite sports, reality TV show or various competitions and think to ourselves, “I can do that” or “I can do that better than they can”.  However, in Luke 17:20, Jesus declared that His kingdom does not come by observation. It was only advanced through participation.  He did not call us to be spectators.  He called us to be active participants, aggressive in our pursuit of Him and His kingdom.  Our whole beings are to be involved—heart, soul, mind and strength!

Even through tragedy and busyness, the Scriptures are clear: the Bride makes herself ready.  She isn’t waiting for someone to turn up the heat or carry the glory of God for her.  She’s actively renewing her mind, putting on godly character and pursuing Christ with all she’s got!

It’s not a matter of more information, but of participation.  Jesus said as you do what He has commanded He would make more of Himself known or manifest (John 14:21).

It’s not time to rest just yet!  It’s time to labor to come into his rest (Hebrews 4:11).  Fight and resist the desires to stay in the same place going through the same motions.  Let something new rise up in your spirit that says, “It’s Time!”  It’s time to get ready!  It’s time to throw off the things that have entangled and dragged me down.  I don’t have to wait for someone else.  I can be a history maker.  True faith says that I not only know that God exists, but I know that He rewards those who earnestly and diligently seek Him.

Let your heart cry out for Him today!  I am going to press, pursue and persist.   The Lamb’s wife makes herself ready.  Wash out the spots.  Iron out the wrinkles.   I will be prepared for Him!
