Love Revolution – John Bidaurreta

John 13:35 (The Message)

34-35“Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.”

This simple but profound commandment would go on to set off a non-violent revolution that turned our world upside down. There has been no other event in human history that has even come close to the scope and impact of this revolution fueled by love.

I have heard Christianity summed in these three statements:

1) Receive God’s Love

2) Love Him back

3) Pass it on

As we truly pass on the Love of Christ that we have so freely received, our world will be forever changed for His Glory.

Galatians 5:6 (Amplified Bible)

6For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.

The only thing that counts is faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love. As we love, God will release faith for us to preach the Gospel with miracles, signs, and wonders following.

Matthew 14:14 (King James Version)

14And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

This is just one of the many places in the Gospels that it says Jesus was moved with compassion, before healing, deliverance, and miracles flowed.

Father, give us this compassion, to love people in the same way that You love us, and help us to continue to spread this Revolution to our region, our nation, and to the ends of the earth.
