Unstoppable – Andrev Baltazar

In recent history, we’ve witnessed people that can be considered to be unstoppable in whatever field they have chosen for their lives. One of them is Michael Jordan, who has won 6 NBA championships, 6 NBA MVP Finals, 5 MVP Regular Season, and a list of records in scoring that made him arguably the best player ever in the game of basketball. There are also countless historic moments when he made amazing shots, and we say to ourselves, “Man, he’s unstoppable!”

As easy as it for us to admire him for being unstoppable, it is sometimes hard for us to believe that we can be unstoppable in our life just like Jordan. The Bible said: Michael_Jordan
“17 But in that coming day
no weapon turned against you will succeed.
You will silence every voice
raised up to accuse you.
These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord;
their vindication will come from me.
I, the Lord, have spoken! (Isaiah 54:17 NLT)

These words were given to Israelites during the prophet Isaiah’s days. It would be so helpful if people that are servants of the Lord would believe and live this truth: If God is for us, who can stand against us? For so long, the devil has made us feel that no matter what we do we won’t succeed, and our best is not going to cut it. I couldn’t help but think that it’s probably one of the worst feelings you can ever have, knowing that you have done and given everything but it just wasn’t enough.

I propose we reverse the position. Let’s start declaring in our lives that we are unstoppable and make the devil feel that even after all his attempts to stop you, that you are not moved by it. It would be great to say ” Devil, you can try your best, but your best is not enough”. Finally, the feeling of defeat is not on our side but on his.

Michael Jordan, as he believes he is unstoppable, would ask for the ball in the crucial moments of the game. Often, he would look at the opponent’s eyes to instill fear in whoever was defending him, and he would go and do what he had to do and score. Let’s do the same thing. Look straight to the eyes of the enemy and say “You can’t stop me!”
