About Pastor George

Pastor George Russell was saved at the age of 17. He was called into the ministry and graduated from Bethany Bible College in 1978 and became a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God. He and his wife and three children moved to the Cotati / Rohnert Park area in 1989 and became the Pastor of New Hope Assembly of God, where he served for 32 years. His desire is to faithfully preach the Word of God and see people come to salvation and grow in the grace and knowledge of God. George was elected as an Executive Presbyter for the Northern California / Nevada District Council in 2000 where he served as an Executive Presbyter until 21. Today Pastor George has been led to begin a new season of ministry that includes ministering to churches and leaders across Northern CA.

He enjoys outdoor sports; hunting, fishing, golf, etc. He is a baseball fan with two favorite teams; the San Francisco Giants and any team that beats the New York Yankees. 😉
